About the Museum
The Museum was launched in 2017 at the Inaugural Valentine's Day Symposium on Dementia and Love and is part of the Celebrate Ageing Program. The Museum draws on the National Framework for Action on Dementia and the Guide to Creating a Dementia-Friendly Community developed by Dementia Australia - which outline the importance of ensuring that people with dementia are valued and respected, and the right to dignity, choice and quality of life with meaning and purpose. The Museum is un-funded.

The Museum is curated by Dr Catherine Barrett who has worked with Elders for over three decades and is the Founder/Director of Celebrate Ageing. Find out more about Catherine's work and the Celebrate Ageing Program by clicking the link here.
