The Kiss is a collection of portraits of people with dementia kissing someone they love. Portraits are taken by Lisa White, The Social Photographer. Check out The Kiss collection by clicking the link here. As part of LoveFest Perth we are inviting people with dementia and their families to participate in The Kiss. Portraits from The Kiss will be exhibited as part of LoveFest Perth.
How to participate
If you would like to participate, please contact Dr Catherine Barrett (details below) to book into the photo shoot. Appointments will be at 15 min intervals. You will be asked to sign a consent form when you make your booking and we need to receive this consent form to confirm your booking. Details of the photoshoot are:
- Location: Olympus/Pegasus Room. LeisureFit Melville, 431 Canning Highway, Melville
- Date: Thursday 26th April 2018
- Time: 10am-4pm

There are two consent forms for you to sign. They are very similar. One is for your overall participation and one is for the photograph. We have also attached a link to an information sheet you might like to print (here) and consent form here
What will happen with your portrait
Your portrait may be included in The Kiss exhibition to be held in Perth as part of LoveFest Perth. It may also be included in a LoveFest Perth resource and on The Kiss webpage. After the exhibition you will be emailed an electronic copy of your photograph. If your photograph is included in the Exhibition you are invited to attend the deinstalling of the exhibition to take your portrait.
An exhibition of portraits from The Kiss will take place on Wednesday 2nd May, at Garden City Shopping Centre as part of LoveFest Perth, and will continue until 16th May. More details to follow.
